Will the chicken door stop if there's an animal down there?
When you think about the safety of your poultry, you probably worry about what happens when the chicken door closes while the animal is downstairs. Is there a danger to chickens or other animals? The good news is that the automatic door of a henhouse is designed with a view to safety.
Security mechanism prevents damage
The automatic door of the henhouse shall be equipped with a special safety system that detects the obstacle. If the door encounters resistance during the descent, the engine stops and the door does not close completely. This means that if there is a chicken, baby or any other animal under the door, the door shall be automatically stoppedto prevent any damage.
Intelligent Reclosing
After five minutes, the system tries to close the door again. This time interval allows the animal to withdraw and leave the area of the door safely. This means that the system itself ensures proper functioning without the need for human intervention. If the animal is still under the door, the procedure shall be repeated until the passage is completely free.
Why is that important?
- Prevents injury to poultry and other animals
- Ensures that chickens remain protected from predators even at night
- Automatic adjustment enables carefree use
- Security mechanisms increase system reliability
Example from practice
Imagine that one of your chickens is hanging around the door at night. During closing, the system detects resistance and stops without damaging the chicken. After a few minutes, they try to close the door again, but by then the chicken had already retreated. This keeps all animals safe and protected from potential environmental hazards.
Automatic chickenhouse door – a solution for a quiet night
If you want to ensure your poultry safety while at the same time facilitating the maintenance of the henhouse, automatic doors with a security mechanism are an excellent choice. You can sleep with them, you know that your chickens are protected and that the doors pose no risk to any animal.
