How to set HP Laser MFP 135 / 137 in download mode ?

- When the printer turns on and the screen says READY, hold Power 4 seconds to switch off the screen.
- When dispatch is off, hold Cancel/Resume (Red X).
- Meanwhile, press Power and hold them both.
- There's a sign on the screen “Download mode, press Cancel”Let go Cancel, press it again quickly (Power can be released).
- Display writes “Wait” – now run attached download.bat to download firmware.
- Do not deactivate the printer while downloading and do not disconnect the USB connection!
- When the printer restarts automatically, isolate the chip with an adhesive tape – it shows up 100 % on the screen.
- By this method do not upgrade the firmware anymore, to remain “chipless”, allowing cheaper printing without changing chips.
