What happens if we remove the rubber cartridge from the ungulate joint?
What happens if we remove the rubber cartridge from the ungulate joint?
Removed cartridge is not the correct rigid coupling. As it remains airy between the hooves, metal may be struck against metal or incorrect torque transmission depending on the structure. We stop the coupling, disconnect the power supply, and install a suitable input. A properly designed rigid coupling is a different element: it does not contain elastomeric release and requires good alignment. Also in the case of a gear failure, it is not automatic due to startup, but repeated overloads may increase wear or cause damage.
