This version is intended for compressed air systems where you need an angle connection 90° and the possibility to adjust the flow. Male thread 1/8 and tube 6 mm

Code 1/8 describes the nominal thread size and 6 mm describes the diameter of the connected tube. For conventional pneumatic connectors, the size of the hose refers to its external diameter. Do not replace it with internal diameter!

Check the thread standard before ordering. The label itself 1/8 does not yet confirm whether the implementation is G, R or NPT. These markings should not be automatically regarded as interchangeable. When choosing, I recommend checking the label of the old part or the technical data sheet of the device.

Angle 90° for arrangement

Angular design allows you to pull the tube perpendicular to the axis of the threaded connector. This is useful in the case of machine housings, in the case of cylinders and where a straight connector directs the tube into an inadequate space.

The advantage over a level regulator is above all line output direction. Where a separate knee would otherwise be needed, the appropriately selected angular regulator may reduce the number of components and connections. Less connections means fewer places you need to assemble and check for tightness. The actual benefit depends on the layout of your device.

POM and brass in pneumatic connection

POM is a technical plastic and brass is a metal alloy commonly used for pneumatic couplings. The combination of both materials is a sensible choice for compact components when it meets working conditions.

In the selection I rely on the full implementation, including gaskets and permissible loads. The maximum pressure, temperature range or resistance to individual chemicals cannot be determined from the POM brass data itself. For this information check the technical sheet of the specific product, especially in the case of a more demanding environment or the use of detergents.

Air flow and cylinder speed

The flow regulator limits the amount of air passing through the connection and thus allows the speed of the pneumatic cylinder to be influenced. The pressure regulator has another function: it sets the pressure. Therefore, replacing one with another does not necessarily solve the same problem.

Before installation, therefore, check that the concrete design of the soul is inlet or outlet air and has an irreversible function. A properly selected regulator can help to calm the movement too fast, but it does not replace the final release of the cylinder or the correction of mechanical defects.

Comparison of regulator and plain knee

The most useful comparison is with the normal angle connection of the same connection dimensions. The external appearance may be similar and the function varies.

The comparison shows functional differences between product types. It does not represent a price comparison or quality measurement of a particular competitive mark.

Favourable maintenance and actual savings

When Looking cheaper, i recommend a comparison of the total cost: suitability of work, assembly and re-intermediation. Favourable the selected regulator is the one that corresponds to the installation and performs the necessary task. Saving may be at the time of adjustment and in a small number of additional components required.

Reducing the speed of the cylinder alone does not mean reducing air consumption per cycle. The leakage, pressure and operation of the compressor should also be considered for energy savings. This also gives cost care an environmental significance.

Suppliers of the technical sheet of this series are not yet available. The standard of thread G/R/NPT, gasket material, permissible pressure and temperature, pipe type, flow characteristic and direction of damping must be confirmed before selection. Nor is the grant function, rotation and prescribed mounting torque confirmed. The angle of 90° does not in itself confirm the possibility of body rotation.

For use in food or pharmacy we need appropriate evidence for a concrete whole set. POM and brass do not in themselves demonstrate compliance with HACCP/GMP hygiene requirements. The cleaner, concentration and cleaning process should be checked together with the gaskets and hose material.
